As some of you know, my 2005 Caddy CTS-V is having problems the dealer just can't seem to fix. Well yesterday I drove past the Caddy dealer and noticed they have an 06 Jeep GC SRT8. It has 17K on it and my Caddy has 19K. I think I will try to get them to swap me. The General Manager said he would sit on the GC SRT8 until we figure this out (probably next week...Regional Mgr is back in town)... I like the Escalade EXT but I just don't want to pay that much for it, and I would never (ever) chose it over the horsepower and performance of the Jeep GC SRT8.

Also the Durango R/T I bought as my wife's winter beater started to make funny noises so we fixed it with a 2008 Jeep Rubicon...;)

SRT 8 all the way they are tons of fun... and if you live in the north .. put on winter tires on thoes factory rims and they even fly threw the snow with no trouble ....

My wife loves her's.

I actually preferred her Infiniti FX35. It wasn't as fast as the Jeep, but it handled a bunch better. If I had to do it over, I would go for the Infiniti FX45.

Sounds like a good idea to me! Maybe your dealer will help you out. What the blue book between the two?

patrick

The dealer said if General Motors didn't step up the dealer would so we will see. I love the GC because it is so quick off the line, and I love the sounds it makes....growling...:elefant:

Here is the Rubicon, freshly waxed. The wife has ALWAYS wanted one of these, so it looks like she will be quite happy. Bee for the summer and Jeep for winter (and summer). Time for some off-roading.

...and this is our weather today. I think we ended up with 8 inches of white crap.

Sorry these aren't the best pictures...

Rubicon looks good,As for the white stuff all i can say is:dontknow:

Which CTS V do you have?

I was reading about a 500 hp model...is that out yet?

And I was also thinking about Jeep SRT 8...and thinking about a 125 shot on top of the stock engine...with the 60 ft times they record...hitting the NOS after that might be a thrill hard to beat!

The 500+ hp one will be out next year...or so. They haven't said what the powerplant will be yet. Mine is the 05 that has the Z06 motor for that year...5.7L, 400 hp and 395 ft lbs tq.

I agree if the Jeep had just a little more go, it would be hard to match by anything else.

Ok, I see...that 500 hp model sounds sweeeeeet!

Sorry you are having difficulty. But that Jeep sounds like a good opportunity.

Maybe your wife will get the NOS for Christmas!

I hear you about the cold...we are at about 6500 feet in altitude ourselves. The weather gets old here. I hate having to park some of our cars for the winter...
