Spoke to the guy...seems pretty straight forward...truck was involved in a front collision but was driving fine. He bought the engine and transmission but didn't know the condition of either since he didn't drive it. But he said he's willing to negotiate...so probably can get it fairly cheap.

so basically he saw the Viper truck tranny and got it at a good price figuring he could flip it pretty quick and make some money is what it sounds like. Nothing wrong with that I suppose, but then again hard to be "honest" in the sense that you can't speak for the actual condition.
