Safe travel ntw0rk! Good time to check your gas mileage. How many miles do you have on your truck now? As you roll past NY keep in mind you have friends here. Just in case here is my cell 516-314-3945. :)

Thanks Bro!

The truck has 22600 miles on it. It's my daily driver, and probably more reliable that a rental!

:D

I should be passing through NY around 7:00 PM. How will traffic be on 95 at that time?

I know traffic is always shitty there, but most of rush hour should be done by then, right?

Traveling north you will be, unfortunately, in the thick of it as you approach the metro area, actually the "rush" aint over till 8:30-900am. 95 sucks. Reason is there are few choices traveling the way your going.Every tractor trailor is moving freight as well. (they are not allowed on our "parkways") As well, many major city centers throughout NY and Connecticut are close to 95, compounding the problem. Sometimes everything is moving smoothly (but relatively slowly) as you move through the city corridor. That's the best you can hope for. I am taking off today and tomorrow to do household "chores" (sand deck, change oil, wash/wax vehicles, cut lawn) Call me if you get in a jam, I have a city atlas and could possibly offer an alternate route. Most of my business is in the metro area and I am familiar with alternates. Sorry my response took so long I am a lousy speller and typist.

I wanted to add one more thing, If you are not constrained by time, maybe leave later. 95 takes you over the George Washington Bridge and across the dreaded Cross Bronx Expressway (believe me, there is no "express") ask nycstv. There is, however, an alternate. NY Thruway 87 north to escape the city choke. The Bridge, however may still be a problem inbound at that time (700am) Too much info here? give me a call, if need be. Take care.

So you are leaving about three, your wife is staying home and does not work any more...I'll bet she is getting bored...maybe I should stop by and be sure there are no young guys sniffing around...just to be safe....?

Does it make a difference that it will be more like 7 at night? I can alter by about an hour, but much more than that puts me in a bad spot at other points in the trip.

TAKE THE TRUCK AND ENJOY.THE HELL WITH GAS COST,MILES ON TRUCK ETC.ROAD TRIPS ARE ALWAYS COOL.EVEN BETTER IN A BAD ASS RIDE!!

Actually that would be WAY better than the morning! Good luck! Keep my number handy!:)

I have owned my truck since Dec. of 04. I had never taken on a trip since I brought her home from Nebraska. I drove it on a 800 mile round trip a couple of weeks ago and all I can say is what a blast!! I have forgotten what a fine ride these babies are just because I didn't want to put alot of miles on it. Take your truck man ! Enjoy it ! Afterall isn't that why we bought them ?
