The dealer replaced my AC compressor bacause it was leaking, and now it is

FREEZING cold.(which is fine with me) Is that normal for these trucks?

.

After I worked on my compressor.. (accidently blew a line.. my fault..) I recharged it back up to spec, and was getting 44 degrees from the vents... my knuckles would freeze if I blew the air on them.. so yeah.. I would say its normal...

Mine never worked worth a damn. Dealer said it was "within spec". What a load of BS. Glad yours works good.

Thank's azp!, but ChrisAZ, we have the same model trucks and like AZP says I can't hold my hand near a vent more than a few seconds either.

I would get a second opinion somehow on yours.

I rarely hear complaints when something works too good..... :argh:

Try turning down the temp and fan speed.......

In the beginning in 2004 there was a lot of complaints on how weak the ac was compared to many of us whom had 03 hemi trucks the year before.

I know for me, when its in the garage (not in the sun) it blows cold right away.

If yours is "too" cold..........count yourself lucky.

I like it cold but I didn't know if it was supposed to be that way.

a/c temps are also going to vary from different areas... and depending on humdity and ambient temps your a/c may not cool as well.

Probably the main reason you are seeing so much difference is because the system was low on coolant due to the leak....now you are running at full capacity.......and yes, mine is cold too..

Driver side works good on mine. Passanger side is not worth a damn either!

I found putting the AC on recirculating and the second to highest fan speed worked best but it is BS that it couldn't keep up on high fan speed.

mine never worked as well as other cars in the AZ summers
