Terrible Event Today

I was witness to a terrible event today. I was the fourth vehicle back and saw everything.

Bridge incident on 16th Avenue shuts down traffic as police investigate

I was in my truck, so if any of the local folks see the news tonight, I am fine, just shook up a bit.

My thoughts and prayers go out to this young man and his family.

I can't begin to explain what it was like. People in the other cars were extremely upset. I didn't get to talk to the semi driver, but he was just shaking. I have spoken to a few people on the phone and that has helped.

I just watched the early news, the person was only 15 and he has died from his injuries.

I was the only one to see him jump, it just happened to be my vantage point. Who knows why he did it. Only a year older than my son.

I gave my son an extra big hug tonight.
