Test drove some RC's today and...

they really shift like crap!.. Every one of them . Is that the way it is?. Its like shifting a Sem-eye truck.. You would expect a vehicle of this caliber to shift
like something more. Was thinking about buying one.Does the new shifter I hear so much about make a big difference?

Almost any shifter upgrade makes it palatable.

Even with a non Hurst shifter. It doesn't shift as slick as some other vehicles I've driven. I sometimes find myself hunting for gears. 1-2-3 is good. Reverse can be elusive sometimes and the 5-6 shift is sometimes 5-4. It might be a clutch problem though.

Got a White CE here in St Petersburg, and my neighbor works there, I can see what the bottom line is on it for you.
I happened to shoot a pic on a driveby today, I also saw a Red 05 QC, and rolled up on an 06 QC, and managed to wave the 06 down, and informed him of the site... he said he has lurked, but had not logged in...:dontknow: Gave him my alias, and he said he would get on...:dontknow:

I just bought one a little over a month ago and I'm AFRAID to drive it hard for fear of ruining my trans. I've tried several times to shift hard into 3rd and missed each time. That is inexcusable performance IMHO!

THIS TRUCK'S SHIFTER SUUUUUUUUUUUCKS!!!

I can't wait for my B&M....possibly clutch, slave, and new master too if it doesn't improve.

It's a small price to pay IMHO for such an awesome truck though and I have absolutely no regrets about purchasing it. $239 shipped for the B&M. No biggie.
