    I ordered the new style Viper key last Thurs. I was able to give them my VIN and they cut it to fit my truck. It showed up Saturday and it works flawlessly. Not to mention it looks cool and I was able to ditch of the hideous key/remotes (2006)!!!

    No kidding? I got the idea from an old thread. I think whomever I got the idea from was using the GenII style key though. . .

    Does my Fangs key have a transponder in it? I just opened up a spare key and taped the "guts" to the inside of my steering column cover so that my new Fangs key would work. If the Fangs key has a transponder in it, I can remove the spare guts and have yet another spare key. (For some reason I was under the impression the Fangs key DOES NOT have a chip in it. I should have asked!)
