Here's a question that I've been meaning to ask since I had the JMB CAI installed... The hose (in the pic below) that leads from the Intake Manifold to the JMB Cold Air Intake was just a single straight piece of hose. The CAI sits a bit higher than the intake manifold. To install this hose, it essentially "kinks" at the bottom.
Does this matter? Or should the hose be angled (have an elbow) so it doesn't kink???

I had similar issue ...

I trimmed till no kink, ran up at a slight angle. Pretty soft hose, tough not to kink. Did you use Kevins neat clean-up trick for the radiator overflow hose redirection. Used it on mine, worked out great ......... I got a pick here somewhere ......................................................................................................

It's just air passing through there, so it's not a major deal.
It should NOT be kinked though.

NAPA sells the proper angled tubing. I believe it's 5/8" O.D. Take your original in as a guide.
IIRC, I picked up a 35º angled piece for less than $5. trimmed it to proper length. No kinking.

Where did you get the decal on the CAI? That looks sweet.

My version of the JMB CAI came with a adaptor that let you cut the original hose (bigger) that had a factory bend in it, and splice it into the hose provided by Justin (smaller, to fit the CAI pipe). :dontknow:  When did you buy the CAI?

Got it at a local vinyl guy I use for all my stuff. Excellent work and materials. I think I have another if you want it in Gold leaf. I'm sure I could get any color you want. Let me know and I'll get you hooked up. I think it was like 12-15 bucks. PM me if your interested ......

My JMB CAI was purchased around 3 months ago. It was installed by a shop... I wonder what happened to the factory bended hose????
Thanks so much for your reply. This is exactly the information I needed.
