The Known Universe....

If a dino was 300 million years old it would not have soft tissue. End of story.
Where do you think legends of dragons come from? because people in recant time saw them, quite possible they were here only a few thousand years ago.

Thou highly unlikely, they could be here today. Science has found many things it thought extinct.
"living fossil's"

Interesting POV, I am assuming the Egyptians and Mayans just disappeared sometime last week then. I agree that the recent findings of tissue that had a cartildge type consistency is very cool and somewhat unexplainable leads to the more interesting question of why THOSE bones were preserved better than all the others found that were hard as a rock. There is an exception to every rule and you are trying to rewrite history based on a few unexplained bones

a good read for ya, and its not 300million, its only 65 or there about, so they say...

its not religious...

Current theories about fossil preservation hold that organic molecules should not preserve beyond 100,000 years.

Attempting to dissolve the minerals from a piece of fossilized bone, so the theory goes, would merely dissolve the entire fossil.

But the team was surprised by what actually happened when they removed the minerals from the T. rex femur fragment. The removal process left behind stretchy bone matrix material that, when examined microscopically, seemed to show blood vessels, osteocytes, or bone building cells, and other recognizable organic features.

So again you interpret what is said by saying dinosaurs may have lived a couple thousand years ago...or even more laughable that they may live today.
What this says is that some scientists attempted to dissolve out the minerals to see what was left and they found something that resembles tissue. They have yet to release whether or not there are any viable cells in the matter. If anything all this tells us is that given the right conditions "something" may remain of soft tissue on the inside of MILLIONS of years old bones

What are you guys talking about? Dinosaurs exist today....

Just need some amber and we are good to go... :)

Yes Jake...as a matter of fact it is mathematically impossible that there are not millions of other places just like earth...the numbers are so huge that some theorists say it is mathematically impossible to not have places that are almost identical to earth...right down to replication of the individuals and what they are doing...

If any of you can get your mind around that concept...it is just...we don't have words for it.

That is the trouble with math, you can justify anything with numbers that mean nothing as my physics professor said. He also taught the math classes, Algebra,Trig, and Calculus. :aetsch:

Most of what Schoob says is laughable...I am now beginning to think that he does it on purpose...no one could be so wrong on so many things...I think he sits back and laughs at our objections to his claims.

I used to try to prod him back on the straight and narrow...but now think he is just playing games with us...no one could be as off base as he seems to be on so many things.
I know someone else that posts things for the sole purpose to start a debate.:flute:
