There has been alot of discussion about N/A hp trucks .

and most people want just a good ol fashion bolt on, one they can do quick and at home.

So with this lets create a list of mods that will give the most bang for the buck.

Also lets post up where the best price you can obtain these mods.

now we know we have great vendors, but lets mention them if we only have prices.

THAT is what most are concerned with, the best deal possible.

so here is the start of the list add on fellas.

just remember we are talking bolt on driveway mods with simple tools the average Joe or joenette:D can do.

1. Drop in air filter
(seems as tho all CAI's give same performance gain)
2. Long tube headers
(best hp)
3. short tube headers
(decent hp for $)
4. Catless or hi flow mids
5. Magnaflow cat back
6. computer flash
7. shifter for the 6 spds

Anything else?

And post where to buy but include prices:D

vendors are urged to post:D

Information like this going to be difficult to track...
We should use some sort of collaboration tool (utilizing a spreadsheet or db)
a: store the product information
b: track the vendors/prices
c: store the HP gain info

you could also use it to keep track of which users have which mods... as a collaboration tool everyone can use and update it.... you could go crazy with it... build reports...etc... LOL

<shrug> just a thought... here's a pic of gmails collaboration tool :D

p.s. I made up the numbers ...

p.s.s. I can't upload a pic right now... but if you've got gmail... check out their collaboration tools :)

Hate to add to the confusion but a list for RC and QC would be a good idea since each mod effects each model differently.

...and by year. :)

The Roe TSTM s/c is bolt-on. Price: Call Roe for details.

The most important thing to remember is that you are MUCH BETTER off determining your end rwhp goals first and then building from there...

ex...a owner buys a drop in then decides on a CAI then decides on a paxton....

This list needs catagories...

800rwhp and up
600-800
500-600
stock to 500

JMB Performance prices:

-JMB Custom Powdercoated Cold Air Intake: $250
-JMB Catch Can to eliminate oil vapor from getting in your engine (yes that is a performance mod): $110 with CAI
-Belanger Long tubes (requires Belanger specific Mid pipes): $1925
-Bassani Shorties (uses stock or stock replacement mids): $985
-Belanger mids, catless or high flow: $625
-JMB Mandrel Bent Hi Temp Coated Catless mids (coming very soon, under $400)
-Magnaflow Catback: $490
-Traction stuff to put it to the ground: $150-940
-MSD Plug wires $92

All of these are reasonably easy to put on, the CAI and CC are under an hour, the headers are about 1-3 hours, mids and/or catback are 1-2 hours, traction stuff is 1-3 hours. Moderate knowledge of automobiles and the proper tools (and safety equipment) are required for all of the installs of course.

thank you ever so much justin, thats why you're #1

i figured the thread had gone south, but these new guys, and some that dont post need to know this stuff, thanks bro:rock:

so now Justin, how about a performance package with all that stuff. Too late for me as I have already purchased most of the exhaust components but I'm sure it would draw interest.

Excuse my ignorance as I am still learning but how is the following item a performance mod? Does it effect the air/fuel ratio somehow?

-JMB Catch Can to eliminate oil vapor from getting in your engine (yes that is a performance mod): $110 with CAI

Thanks!

My bolt on mods are:

Bassani Headers
MSD Plug wires
Ported and polished stock throttle body
Stage II PCM
Borla Cat Back
Mopar CAI
EBC Green Brake Pads
170 degree thermostat
3000 CFM Auxillary Cooling Fan
Catless Mids (pending install)

I ordered all of these from various vendors on the site and installed them all myself, if anyone has any questions or wants more detail, holler.

The stock crankcase ventilation setup is not exactly ideal. They have to deal with new car emissions laws, etc. which you can get around. If you remove your throttle body on a stock ventilated SRT10 engine, you will see oil puddled up behind the TB. My truck had enough that it dripped off of my finger when it was 500 miles old, and on a recent 06 coupe, it dripped out of the runners when we removed the intake manifold. Engines want to run on gasoline, not oil, and oil and oil vapor increase the chance of detonation. Reducing the chance of detonation is a performance mod IMO.

I try to keep my prices below everyone else if I can, (check on the belangers or QA1's for example), but I can do package deals as well for those that want to one-stop-shop :D .
