I searched for the recall and got the recall number, but what I need to know, is did any Canadian trucks get this recall? Mine is a 2006 , April 2006 build, Canadian truck. My friend that works at the dealer entered the VIN into tech connect, and no recall comes up for the wheel bearings for those trucks. My newly acquired srt-10 ram suffered catastrophic wheel bearing failure on Saturday afternoon. It went from a slight chirp, to the front wheel locking up completely in about 2 minutes and thus stranding me on the side of the highway. Picked up 2 moog replacements, and am doing the deed this afternoon. Edit*, truck just turned 38,000 km's or 23,600 miles. The unit bearings in my Diesel went 180,000 km's so something is up with the srt ones.
IDK of any recalls. I do know I think one of mine is roaring and I will be ordering (2) Timken bearings soon and replacing them before I bother driving it again.
