What is this world coming too.... after hearing about Ghostritrs near miss....now mine... tonight after dinner I decided to go out to my motorhome at the storage facility, and check it out and do my monthly maintenence on it (start it, exercise the batteries, fill the air tanks, etc..)

I arrive there, to find that the door was attempted to be pried open, and the window busted out.... so I carefully enter the vehicle with my weapon drawn knowing that they could still be in the rig.. (though I highly doubted it)

The totally ransacked the rig, and took anything of value, and proceeded to break other inside windows, and spray grafitti all over the insides with black paint, and turn on the water system and flood the interiour out...

They also took all the valuable electronics that I had inside it...

- Pioneer In Dash DVD
- Kicker Amp, and Kicker Sub in Box.
- Magellean GPS Unit
- Pioneer Sat Radio Tuner
- Break Controller Unit
- Kenwood Two Way Race Radio
- Color Backup Camera Monitor
- Dash Panel w/ Gauges, and 2 Extra Banks Power Gauges.
- Portable DVD Player with 5" Screen

I could have dealt with most of the electronics, but the.... vandalism... why.... ???? freaking idiots....

damn..that sucks ass scott..sorry bud.

Sorry, Scott...........

Fkn evil sunzabitches......... There's just no room on earth for assholes like that.....

Again, sorry amigo.........

Yep..I am insured... thank got only a $250 deductible...the damage is extensive... am thinking well into the $20-30k range... if not more....the flood damage is what I am worried about... covered yes.. but water in motorhomes causes untold damages...

It happened sometime in the last 30 days, as I have not been out there in about a month...

Scott.

The officer came out and looked around, took pictures, etc.. but did not find any good prints that he could use...

Is it your facility, or do you rent it? If you rent, the owners might be liable.

So sorry to hear about this BS Scott. At least you are insured. If this is a rented place then maybe they had cameras running. I just set up a 16 cam video security system for my building to protect us from this type of BS. Hope it all works out for you.

I rent from this place, they have overall insurance, but when you rent you sign an agreement releasing them of liablity... there are some plcaes that will cover you but the cost of them is far higher than what is costs to get insurance on the vehicle....

I pay $66/mo for storage, and about $800/yr for insurance.

Hate that for you.....sounds like kids...they tend to want to wreck the place when they steal....hope you find out who...

That is what the officer said... they tried to pry the door open, but when they could not do it... they just broke the window and reached in and unlocked it...

All of the shades were pulled, and I had "blackout covers in place", so you can not see inside, they could have turned the lights on and had a field day, and no one from the outside would have hurt or seen them...

I mentioned to the officer that I had been trying to sell it... and so the interior and all the stuff I had been seen by lots of people, so they could have cased the rig for awile... and then went in when they though it was a good time...

Sorry to hear this Scott. You'll probably find it all for sale at the Greyhound swap meet if you know what I mean. I still think we need to keep an eye on the trucks for the January GTG someway. Maybe a roped off area for parking right by the front door. These punks would just cruise and wait till everyone went inside. It would spoil the GTG if some thing happened to or out of town Guests.

I concur.

That just sucks big balls. Anyway, you need to do what I did. I built a 50x100 metal building to store my MH and car/trucks in. Good luck with insurance. I hope they get it all back to original condition for you.
