samsung would be 52, i believe...
personally, i have sony, and i've been very happy with it, and i knew there was a better system out there when i bought it, so for once, i actually "shopped" and ended up with the sony only because it was the better deal, not the better tv.
samsung makes great tv's even moreso now with their "progressive image software" or something like that...it almost "reads" the next motion that an object will do and "preps" itself so that the images seem clearer...they almost give me a headache it's so clear.
check your image contrast ratio and your dynamic contrast ratios.
it's all in the ability to process the information as fast/clearly as possible, so as not to distort the image (which can increase greatly the larger the tv)
personally, i'd buy a comparable tv (samsung, sharp aquos, i hear, are great) and keep the 2 grand extra to blow on some bowers and wilkins speakers
