Thinking of getting a 300 SRT.... Input??

Trying to get a feel for how people like the 6.1 hemi. Moddability? Cost for mods? Driveability/handling?..... Any info would be appreciated.....

Awesome car, will out handle a 10, will with outrun most 10's............ and you can fit the family.

Here's a video I made of my parents 300C SRT8. Fun cars to drive. Definitely at home on the open road, a little cumbersome and "awkward" to manhandle comfortably around small inner city areas. Once out on the open roads and twisties, the car comes into it's own, a real blast to drive. I would imagine the Charger, Challenger & 300C SRT8 line up would all be very similar, not much difference between the characteristics, just appearances. They're a car you either love or hate the looks of, one things for sure, you can ignore their presence.

I say do it just lower it and stiffen the ride up and put some sticky tires on it. The Srt handles ok for some stock but my truck handled better than the srt charger i had. Almost lost it a few times on corners i could eaisly do 30+ mph more in the truck. I most likely will pick up an 06 300 to drop my motor in if my truck doesn't stay together this time. There is enough after market competitors for the LX cars now to make the prices reasonable.

A friend of mine has the 300c Hemi with a chip in it and it is surprisingly fast. Not even an SRT so I would guess the 300 SRT is a beast.

I got my 300C SRT because... Well, because I was soon becoming 36 at the time and I wanted to LOOK like I am finally growing up... I left it bone stock and I love driving it every now and then.. I believe "muscle in a tuxedo" was the way someone described it..

I had the opportunity to drive some SRT's around Laguna in the rain. Handling in the rain with ESP on was surprising.

Allot of the guys on the LX boards are taking their cars in to some reputable shops and having the 6.1 block swapped out to the 6.4 . I say buy a used one and then do the 6.1 to 6.4 conversion.
