None of my past rides, (Yugo, Fairmont, and an Aries K) turned heads as much as the truck. ;) :rofl:

The truck is more fun to drive now than when I first got it,(hard to believe it was 3 years ago already).

Big caravan of 10's rollin is a pretty sight as well....

Its kinda funny, around here I get a lot of "That's a nice truck.... For a Dodge..." lol Like it almost pains them to admit a Dodge looking good

I ran into a guy today picking up my motorcycle lift who had a F350 that had a nasty 5 inch tip on the back and he caught me double taking his truck during pickup. The driver came up to me and asked "is that one of those viper trucks?". I said yep, he says " I could pound that truck I have 600 HP at the rear wheels on my dually and I can drive through mud and snow." I replied back "What do you do with all that HP and how fast have you had it?" He said " It hits 120 easy and then it starts to become hard to handle." I replied " Wow 120 MPH, I don't have any issues with my truck even at 160 MPH."

Just because he has a 9000lb truck with gobs of HP does not mean it handle like a champ. Dude was definatly stuck on his damn Ferd. Some people always have to have the one up on others, me on the other hand I just enjoy automobiles for what they are. Cheers!
 
Yeah, I get some BS from time to time. My young age makes me a more susceptible target. Even though I've got a whole shit ton of (everything) put into my truck, I really don't go out and flaunt it. I expect I will at the car shows though.

Then there are the ones who like in one instance where I was getting an oil change and this guy about my age came out with an arched eyebrow and was talking with the service manager (Kind of indirectly talking to me) Saying "I don't understand... Why would you spend so much money on a truck? And why would you want to put all that audio crap in it... That's just dumb to me" And proceeded with a weasel-phrase "but I mean, that's your decision though."
Rather than get drawn into those things I usually just shrug lol

but the ratio of Oohh's and Ahhh's to that stuff is about 900 to 1 so its all good

There are haters man they can't afford something like your truck and what do they do? just talk crap. I personaly love your truck i think its one of the best.

I live in SW Louisiana, and I have to tell you, I was cutting grass the other day and my daughter comes to me and said.. there is a guy in the front that wants to talk to you about your truck. I went around, and it was the damn meter reader. Asking if it was the viper truck and could he take a look at it. Thats really something when our tax dollars are spent looking at BADA$$ trucks!! AMEN TO 500HP!!
 
Agree with every statement said here. Personally this has been my dream ride ever since I spied one on the road. I have had the crappy of crappy cars everything from tiny little rusty, dented, and ugly and yes a sunfire at one time. Then i got a hemi which was what i could afford at the time and hoped to work up to getting my srt yet knew id probably never attain one but when i heard they werent making them anymore i tried everything to get one. Lucky for me at my last attempt i got one although i ate more than 15000 in upgrades on my hemi and also had to take a 9000 hit for the left over payment on my old truck I still did it. This is the best there is and most likely the last of the best. Peoples stairs make me feel even better when there mouths drop. Yea im young, probably to young to have such a nice truck but id rather have this than any house, girl or anything basically. I am so proud to have this mortgage on wheels and would never change it. Except if i won the lotto and then id fix her up reallllllll nice, but for now ill just keep saving what i can and i dont care what i have to do, ill always make these payments weather i have to hoe my body or eat turds for money I love this TRUCK! Yea im sick but who cares look what i drive HA!

And to positively contribute to this thread. These trucks are amazing!! I love all the looks it gets. I wish I wasn't trapped in hell w/ flourescent lighting right now, I'd be driving her!

The winter went harsh up here in the Northeast. Tons of salt and sand. My little baby is sleeping quietly till the town comes and cleans things up. I'm really psyched to read all the positive :) ! I , too, enjoy driving this truck and never try to explain it to someone who just doesn't get it, no problemo. Live and let live. Got my room for the Nat.s at the Amerihost and look foward to partying with this bunch.
