Thursday is Ticket Day

Bull!!!!! Cops give each other breaks!!! They write tickets hoping that you will pay them without finding out that you are well within your rights to have them dismissed. Before you pay a fine read the laws and find out if that fine was written within the law or not! I'm not lucky, I'm smart. I don't run around like a bobble head dog because some jerk off with a badge says I'm wrong!!!!!!!!!! I read the laws hire the right people and beat them EVERY time!!!

I'm not going to argue with you Ronnie. Hell, it's great seeing you back on the site.

However I do have 2 questions for you.

The first is were you quilty? Were you in fact speeding?

The second is what laws were broken by the police? If you say they were speeding to catch you, that's not valid. Police in the performance of their duty are allowed to break laws.

Now for one final comment. I agree with you that it's frustrating to see what some police officers get away with. Does this make them all bad? No, no more so than the owners/drivers of performance vehicles are all bad because a few participate in illegal drag racing on the streets, or drive recklessly and endanger others by their actions. That Good and Bad street goes two ways.

Once again, welcome back.

Ok well I am apparently confused about the ticket. You were going some multiple of three? Anyway, we have all gone insanely fast, that is the reason we have the viper engines. The man up comments are personal feelings as to what we think you should do. Regardless of what is said, you couldn't honestly have bought the fastest production truck on the planet and not expected to get tickets!! Anyway good luck in court and I am glad to see you have a lawyer. If you don't want this to ever happen again though, have self control or trade the 10 for a moped:D

I owned my truck for a couple years and did not receive a ticket. I now own a car that weighs 2550 pounds and has over 550 HP at the wheels, and no tickets with it either.

Regardless of what you drive, be it a base Neon, or a new Viper, you do have a responsibility to drive safely.

Now with that said, I have to state that the term "safely", can sometimes be 30 MPH in 70 zone, or it can be 90 MPH in a 70 zone. The only issue is, that when you are doing 90 in a 70 zone, you are susceptable to receiving a ticket.

All this coming from the same Monkey that spun his Cobra around on a wet road right in front of a cop:D :D :D

Actually I didn't realize how big of a deal it was. Where I previously lived it was a non issue. I was not aware that VA sends people to jail for speeding more often then they send DWI away.

I am living proof of that ! 123 in a 55

Its a well known fact that some cops are pricks and will write you a ticket just to meet quota....

I recommend all you (except django) to read this website

www.ticketassassin.com

oh and btw pre paid legal sucks...they are doing shit to help me fight my ticket...

Well I guess that proves my point!!:D

Nope...........

1) He didn't get a ticket for three over.....
2) All cops are not bad guys....
3) Your attitude towards law enforcement is bigoted.
4) Much of what you think you know is wrong.

D

Tickets provide revenue for bullets to use when sworn officers come to our defense...pay your fines willingly...hell speed more and tell the officer who pulls you over that you hope the fine gets him/her more and better equipment.

Nicely put. I agree.

Guys, I was joking on the three over. My ticket was for some multiple of 3. Look there should be reasonableness in every system. Everytime one of of you goes you did the crime and man up you are a hypocrite. You have all driven very fast many times, difference is I got caught.

So let me explain a little difference between where I live and the rest of the US. First time DWI under .15, 6 month suspended license, 30 day suspended sentence.

First time reckless driving over 90mph, 6 month suspended, 1500 dollar fine, 1 day in jail for every mile over 90.

Now before everyone takes the oh my gosh your an idiot for driving fast, remember 20% of all tickets written in VA are reckless. Reckless is 20 mph over any speed limit, or any ticket over 80. As an example 81 in a 70 is reckless.

All I was asking, just like many before was a kind thought before court.
Then you did F*^*K UP still get a lawyer don't worry about jail worry about your insurance company dropping your ass if you are under 25 dont mess around no one will cover execpt the shit ones for 3000 grand a month or year. God luck in court and hope the judge is a good one.

Good luck Seth. I hope you don't have to do any time...

How many days would you have to spend in jail if they did throw that at you?
:D

I have bought a hell of a lot of bullets for my local police.:D

Bill.

So today wasn't a great day. Got a not insignificant amount of time to do. I know it won't affect my job because I have enough vacation time. I wish I can tell you that what I got was fair, but the guy before me had a dui, speeding, and eluding and got 1 day. I got 30 (only have to serve 15). I wish I can tell you that I support cops, but I won't and I can't. The fact of the matter is no one on a simple speeding ticket should be going to jail while people that drive drunk are only required to go for 24 hours.

Wow! Sorry to hear this. Not the outcome I was expecting at all.

I do agree that the DUI charges seem unfairly light in comparison. Hope your time goes quickly.
