I really like the looks of the JMB CAI but want to make sure it wouldn't affect my factory warranty. Has anyone had any such issues?

From what I have read around here, there really isn't much of a performance gain from any of the CAI systems. Is that correct?

Some of you said you like the "sound" using a CAI. I had a Dodge 360 with a K&N Filtercharger and the only different sound I could notice with that system was a giant "whoosh" on full throttle. Actually, I didn't really like it.. sounded kinda like godzilla with a bad case of asthma.

Bottom line.. will I be disappointed with this upgrade? Thanks in advance! :burnout:

I dont think anybody would be dissapointed with this ,,,,and make sure you get the catch can. They say you dont see any HP gains but there is a bunch more air getting into the engine so I know it helps with getting more air in. I put in the pcm upgrade and the cai in on the same day and could tell a big difference, then I added caltracs and whoooooooo whoooooo :burnout: :burnout: :burnout: :burnout: :burnout: :burnout: :burnout:  :burnout: :burnout: :burnout:

Stick those gains were from the pcm for sure. The CAI is nice bling and sound with some added HP. If your really expecting a difference you might be dissapointed. I have the K&N deal and the tone is a very Darth Vader like sucking sound. I like it.

It should not effect your warranty. If your really concerned about mods and your warranty I would talk to your dodge service mgr and ask him what he reccomends. If you buy mopar headers and they install, maybe he will be cool. You never know and all dealers are different.

i had the mopar cai installed on mine from the dealer and he said because its a mopar part installed by them that it will not effect the warranty..........as much as ive read about them i would feel safe to say that a cai will not effect the warranty of your truck............personally i did mine for looks and sound, not performance....so if its performance you are looking for i would just go with the K&N drop in filter and be done with it!

I have had both the volant and JMB on my truck.I really like the looks of the jmb over the volant.the matching color and catch can look sweet.Sound wise the volant was a little louder.perf.wise ?????? not much.

Of course I'd get the catch can... but can someone explain the "sound" difference between the CAI and stock?

The stock air intake sounds like the breathing of a little league ball player after he's rounded the bases.
The JMB sounds like a 6.5HP Craftsman shop-vac.
:D
