Looks like after a day of research the stock scorpion tires get the best ratings on most tire sites. I found them for $740 shipped for a set of 4. Anyone know where to get them any cheaper? Thanks.

Thats a great price Rick.. I think that beats tirerack pricing. Where did you find that?

Discount Tire, they are $201 each shipped, plus they are running a $60 mail in rebate for purchase of 4 tires. So the bottom line price is $744.00

Thats a steal... Jump on that... You headin to Canada for your oems wheels? I heard someone talking about it... Have them shipped. Any savings you get from the rims will be eaten up in gas.

Got the OEM Night Runner 22's yesterday. I rented a car from enterprise for $90 plus $90 in fuel, and of course 12 hours later they are sitting in my house ready for tires. They are mint, had maybe 10 miles on the rims if that. Guy bought an 06 night runner, and wanted the polished ones. The rims were swapped before he picked it up at the dealer, and he had no use for the black ones, so he sold them to me for $750.

Were you wearing a hood and carrying a gun when you bought them? You got some steal on them for that price.. They are gonna look nice on your silver rig.

Where you leave from? Did you go all they way back to NJ then up to Canada or just hang at Mohegan? :dontknow:

Great deal man... I know TireRack had the tires a few weeks back for $181 each...

Most guys on this site think the stock tires suck. There have been many threads on this topic.Do a search. What a steal on the rims. They will look kick ass on a silver truck.I'm thinking toyo's for my next tires.Proxes s/t's

I agree about the Pirellis.... Some have claimed they are they major contributor to bumpsteer problems... 'specially on lowered trucks.

I'll also go to another product next go round.

I think I talked to you about this on Saturday, I am going to be getting the General Grabber UHP's very soon!!

IMO the Pirellis suck! At least these Pirellis do....

After more research I went with the Conti Contact UHP's Got them for $743 shipped from Tire Rack. On most tire review sites these got better ratings overall, less noise, longer tread life, better traction, and perform better in wet weather.

I got no real gripes with my Pirelli's... good luck with the Conti's mang!!

I'm still deciding......

But I believe I'll do the Kumho Ecstas or the Toyo Proxes next......

These are (after all) still just trucks.... And, I think that spending 300 bucks a tire is a bit rich unless you require them for running competatively on a race course.....

I'm still not convinced that Generals quality control is up to snuff.... Sure some guys got good tires, but others did not.... It's a question of consistency... I don't think I trust 'em..... But that's just me....

Just put Toyo Proxes on the truck on the way home, sort of.

My wife's Infiniti had 305/40-22 Toyo's on it. They were 8% smaller than the stock tires. Had 305/45-22's put on her's and had her old tires mounted up on the truck.

I will give a report on what I think in the morning. I have one stretch of freeway I go down that the stocker were all over the road on. I will see what the Toyo's are like tomorrow.

If your basing your decision on the reviews from 1010tires, let me put your mind at ease. Some of those reviews were on tires that are not even available in the Grabber UHP's sizes. I think one guy had an F250 and another guy quoted a tire size more for off roading. If you haven't yet, check out the reviews at TireRack. I'm not trying to convince you to buy the Generals. I just don't want you not to buy them based on bad information. To add to the confusion there are other versions of the Grabber (AT2, TR, AW, ST, HP). Perhaps one of those versions is what they are talking about. The UHP's are getting excellent reviews. Happy hunting.

I'm very happy with the Generals as well and they look great too! I think any tire would be better than the stock ones.
