Afternoon all need some expert advice suggestions on tires, looking at replacing the tires soon on my 2005 QC, what suggestion do you guys have on tires on those 22" rims besides the factory Pirelli Scorpians :dontknow:

I was looking at the toyo's in 325/40/22 just a little more meat for the ground.

You can probably do a search on here and find as many opinons on tire preferences as there are members. Even though the Pirellis aren't that great on wet surfaces, the truck's suspension and dynamics were tuned around the Pirelli tires. But if I were to switch I would consider the Nitto NT420S or Toyo Proxys.

The big SR Street Radials by Mickey Thompson. But then mine are 16" rims..... 16" wide. ;)

BF Goodrich T/A's are great.   :burnout: :burnout: :burnout:

I bought the Continental Cross Contact UHP at tirerack.com with chrome OEM-styled wheels and they are great in all weather (except snow).

Pirellis felt flatter, good for going straight but more resistance when you turn the wheel.

Tire Rack has recommendations on there as well so you can get some good feedback in addition to the great advice from this forum.

I put Khumos on mine and they are a good tire for the price. Can't really go wrong with any of the above tires.

I was wondering the same thing I live in PA and the truck goes all over the road But once I go into new jersey the truck drives straight as can be. Are their any tires that can help me or can I put a thinner tires on these wheels.

pirellis were awesome for going down the track but the conti's work so damn good in the rain it feels like a different truck.

I'm moving to PA for a little for school, guess it's a good thing I plan on getting some nitto 420's before i go lol.

Continental Cross Contact UHP rulez... much better than the pirelli's
I'm running those too, in a 305/45 size, MUCH better than stock. I'll be getting them again.
Not sure if it's the added sidewall but it's much better in all areas over stock.

I have not strayed from the Pirelli tires. But as mentioned above, mine is pretty much a garage queen. It rolls only on dry days so the inability of the Pirelli tires does not worry me. But if you are on the Pirelli's you MUST understand that they are very unpredictable in wet conditions.

RIP Woody...
