It doesn't. You could be a moron, and just move into a spot you know you can't afford, and get evicted in the end. You are at least trying to get a roommate to share the spot & responsibilities, with this economy it doesn't hurt to go dutch. I just feel uncomfortable going dutch with a complete stranger.
