Toneau cover/wing mod

Thought I would share what I did to my '04 RC. I like the stock wing but I also wanted a hard cover, so....

I purchased a Lund cover and modified the top of it to accept my stock wing. The wing is attached with the factory hardware so it can be removed and returned to stock if I ever decide to do so. (doubt if I ever will). The wing is wider than the cover, so the cover had to be widened so that it matched the profile of the bed and still matches the base of the wing.

Thats what mine came with. It had a metal tonneau cover with a wing attatched.

Id love to have a color coated flush mount tonneau. Like a retrax but smooth and not 2k! Nice job on your mod!

Can always go with the wing mounted right on the cover. I had one on my last truck. Best covers out there
