Who is HTS? And may I ask whats a normal price range for a ince rebuild? I'm thinking i want to rebuild my tranny before it takes a crap....I actually would love to find a spare tranny but i have no idea what that would cost......

The guys name is Dusty and he has a very good reputation for building automatic transmissions....I dont know the price range, but I think its very reasonable for the work he does....someone else will have to chime in on the price range

Dusty is the guy that i have read about before...It looks like I would jsut have to call him and see what I would need and get a price range....Anybody know how much trannies run for so i can have a spare? Would getting one thats shot then sending it off to Dusty be a problem or does it cost more if the tranny is already toast or something?

I don't think it matters if the tranny is shot or not cause the parts are all coming out anyways,unless theres broken input and output shafts and such.

Do you know what a good price for a good and a bad one would be around just so i have an idea?

In my experience, a standard upgrade build will run you between 3-4K installed...

If hard parts need to be replaced/upgraded, then you can easily get into the 7-8K range...

no im trying to figure out a fair price for a spare tranny....a good one and one that is bad since i would really like to find a spare and send it off versus having my truck down for a month or so

you can probably find one for around $900 or so, but I was under the impression Dusty will send you one first and you give him the "old" one.....

yea i just need to contact Dusty and see....If thats the case then that would be no problem.....The reason why i wasn't thinking that is because what if hard parts are broken in your tranny that you send him back....Is he out of money or would you then make up the cost to replace those.......:dontknow:

Troy he quoted me a while ago 3000 or a bit more shipped...

You send your tranny in with the company that delivers the new one for a core charge.

That is with a billet converter
