Took some weight out of the RC

Without a front sway bar, the truck will want to swap ends (over steer) at high cornering loads, especially at speed. So, that sweeping overpass that you used to take at 80+ will now be a bit scary as the rear end will start to walk-out on you. It will likely be fairly pronounced if you are on the throttle as well. :afraid:

Be careful out there.
This is true, we experienced it first hand. Scary feeling

My truck when it was stock (without the spare and jack) weighed 5,000 lbs with the stock wheels, 1/4 tank of gas and the aftermarket fiberglass bedcover. That was my street trim weight. After installing Fiberglass front fenders, a Carbon Fiber hood, removing the factory plastic bedliner and brackets, the windshield washer bottle, the tow bar in the rear, and metal from the front and rear bumpers, the truck weighed 4,840 in street trim with 3/8 tank of gas. To prep for a race I remove the bedcover(120 lbs), tailgate (60 lbs), passenger seat (48.5 lbs), subwoofer (14 lbs), plastic tray behind the seats (10.5 lbs), change to lighter front wheels (60 lbs), and I just removed the front sway bar (26.5 lbs) tuesday, less 1/8 tank of gas ( approx. 26 lbs) and that should put me at about 4,474.5 without me (220 lbs) so race weight of the truck with me is 4,694.5. And to answer your question....YES the Bed is still on!
so..... i guess we know what's next in weight removal. :D

No, no Strikers yet, and the bed will always stay on.:D

If weight savings is your goal for a strip monster, you may also want to remove the dashboard, radio/nav, heating and AC systems, interior panels, headliner, carpet, side & rear glass (replace with plexi), window regulators, tailgate (replace with lateral brace) as well as swap out the OEM seat for a carbon fiber one. Also replace the OEM hood with a lighter JTSVP fiberglass unit & shorten the exhaust to dump out behind the front wheels. You will easily be <4k#.

Truck is my daily driver, so it will not be without radio, dash or AC or full interior. Windows will stay glass. I already remove the tailgate when I race, and if you read everything I have done you would see that I have a Carbon Fiber Hood.

Nah, didn't read anything about your ride outside of this thread. Good luck with your daily driver.
