TOTM Announcement

Starting today, there is a small modification to the TOTM Rules

All previous winners are not eligible. (owner, not truck). So if you have more than one RAM SRT-10, you can still only win once. If you sell and buy a new truck, you can still only win once….etc


The change would be a 1 year off, so if you win in 2008, you would be eligible again in 2010, if you win in 2009, eligible in 2011 and so on. So the new line would read.....

All previous winning RAM SRT-10's are not eligible for one year. So if you win in 2008, you would be eligible again in 2010, if you win in 2009, would be eligible in 2011 and so on. Note: this rule is based on the Truck, not the owner.



The reason for the change:
I've been watching the different projects and as much as I would like to give everyone a chance at TOTM, I think it is important to recognize some of the truely special trucks out there too. There is more than one Member with more than one truck and there is more than one member that has sold one truck and bought another one, so it is important to always be fair.

I would like however, but not mandatory, that previous winners accept their nomination. This way I know that they want to be part of the poll for the upcoming month. I know with all the over the winter mods, some may want to have their trucks done before being part of the poll.



BTW, this has nothing to do with recent events.

Please, if you have questions, ask. I will do my best to answer all of them before the next nominations thread, even if that means I have to modify the rule again to help make things fair for all.

Due to the simple fact that a ford escort is closer to being an SRT-10 than your pizza, I really can't help. However, if you want to call around and get a pizza sponsorship for the TOTM, the winner can use it to buy all the people who voted for the winning truck a slice of pizza

Yes, if a truck is sick and tired of it's owners farts, burps and other annoying habits and moves to a better owner, the truck is eligible again providing the new owner does not abuse or mistreat the beast for at least 60 days

There is one thing I disagree with, that is if the owner has two trucks, wins with one but can't win or be nominated again? That just doesn't sound right. It's truck of the month, not owner of the month and if the owner can be nominated twice and even harder, win twice, more power to them. If they have two trucks and spend a lot of time and money on both I think they should be allowed in my opinion. I'd like to think I could create an all white Ram, mod it out and call it a "Stormtrooper" and be eligible to run in the poll for all my hard work etc etc, seems fair to me. Plus, the way it's going lately, we'll be running out of trucks soon lol. Nominated #'s seem to be low. I think that's also due to the fact most people (myself included) have lost count of who's won, when and what year. Maybe we need a masterlist (just the members names) of who's won? Just trying to help, nothing more, nothing less.

LOL yes, that is true but awfully stretched. They first need to own 11 (never happen) and the hard part, spend $$$ on all 11 to have them win 11 times straight lol. But, I see your point but as we all know that will never happen. Good to see (as usual) you are flexible and the members input/opinions are always considered.
