Had two friends that have never been to the track or raced their rides, so i took them to the track and i taught them what little i know. 22 yr old Kenne Bell mustang driver, bought his car a few weeks ago, and i taught him how to drive a stick shift. I had to test drive the car when he was shopping because he couldnt drive it. A few weeks later, and his first pass down the track, he chased me down after the 1/8 and put a hurting on me. The Srt-10 has 18k miles, the owner had it for a year i think.

First pass down, the pit guy didnt spray any water in the box for me. At first i thought, good i wont track water to the staging area. What it really meant was my quick burnout smelled alot more like clutch than rubber. I immediately floored the clutch and rev'd too cool off the flywheel and and not screw the clutch worse. Took it easy down the track, and it still locked me out of third gear.

I waited a while for everything to cool down, and made another pass, without a burnout. Full clutch and off throttle shifts, granny shifting. Felt so lazy off the line, and bogged... no tire spin, but i could feel the clutch give a little, pedal felt spongy.

I weighed 5415. the 04 weighed 5230

0.2 slower 60ft, 0.5 slower et, 8mph slower than i did last month with the same DA. Hydraulics, and clutch are next mod.

We all made 5 passes. The 04 Srt-10 ran a best of 13.89 at 102mph and the Kenne Bell mustang ran 12.8's at 110 consistent the whole day.

5415!!! Wow apparently my truck is heavier than I thought. Did you take anything out? Spare, Jack, sub? How much fuel?

Your 60 ft looks great. Imagine if you would have ben shifting as aggressively as you did you your PB run (the one listed in your signature).
