I do not run a 5th shock as I am using an LPW braced cover.

Do you happen to know the part numbers for your cover and braces. That is a sweet looking set-up.

LPW Racing

The set up came from;

LPW Racing Products:

http://www.lpwracing.com/index.asp

The cover is a 301-60, 167.99
The brace set up you need is a 345c extra deep. 119.99
This brace set up is necessary to clear the drivers shock. I got it with the longest tube set up they offer.
I had to cut a small amount off the tubes, and weld the the ends in with rosetting.
The mounts and ends can be welded on at any type of shop that does tig welding. If you are doing this on a rear end that has been run you should pull the axles. This is suggested and it is something that I have always done unless it is an emergency, like the next round of eliminations.
This mod keeps the axle tubes from bowing under load and helps prevent broken axles.

Jack doesn't deal with second rate shit. Everything he has is quality stuff.

Thanks a ton Jack! The will be a must this summer.

I love Jack's technical posts...

And he taught his daughter to take off her flip flops when entering the house...great old Asian custom...

Wonder if he bound her feet too?

Do you have total weight for the whole set-up?

I have Justins stage one. It didnt really do much that I can tell except eliminate a nasty noise coming from the leafs. Is stage two that middle shock and insert piece for the slapper bar(leaf)?

I have Caltracs that hopefully I will install on Sunday.

Seems the setup of choice with no budget is Caltracs and Justins Qa1 shocks.

patrick

Caltracs Rock:rock: good luck with the install Patrick
