OK guys I Received a factory Dodge trailer hitch that a friend of mine took off of his Ram 3500 and installed it on my RC truck. First of all it does fit just fine so if anyone with a QC wants to swap with a RC it is a bolt on operation.

Now the bad news, you must remove the spare tire, the entire rear bumper assembly, and loosen the bed so it can be raised about 3 inches. Also our exhaust system is right in the way of 2 of the bolts that hold the bed on.

The total job took about 3 to 4 hours. However if I had to do it again I could probably knock it out in about 2 hours now that I know just what has to be done.

I thought some of you might be able to use this info.

Bill.

Well now I know what I have to look forward to. I have laid under the truck a few times trying to decide what needs to be done. Its one of those yeah I think I want to do this today and I end up laying there until I talk myself out of it.

I usually lay down under the truck to check things out a wake up about an hour, hour and a half later.

Damn Robert under an hour, what time are you going to roll up at your new house this weekend. I may have to throw a briskette on the pit saturday night and have it ready for lunch sunday. Amazing what 13 hours of cooking can do to a tuff as piece of dead cow. Sounds appealing when you phrase it like that. I better call the dealer and see if they have that part in stock. :D
