Monday Jan. 30, 2012 I will be at DC Performance. We will get a baseline dyno on my truck with the BBK Throttle Body, then after proper cool down we will install Tony's new JTS Venom 68mm TB and compare. Hope for good results. Next test and tune will be the weekend of Feb 18-19, at Famoso Drag Strip just north of Bakersfield. Hope lots of VTCOA and Vipers of the World can attend.

I will be there at 8am, and probably be there for several hours. They will have to assemble the JTSVenom TB. Do you want me to bring the drag radials? If I do you have to show up for sure.
 
Forum rules - someone has to throw a monkey wrench into your plans. Hopefully this nets you some results but I think it will not be as much as you would get if you changed the TB and changed the tune to compensate for the additional air. I am far from an expert but I believe the PCM "learns" things like throttle position and a/f exhaust readings and build he fuel maps to base off of. Changing things like how much air is injested at a specific throttle position may throw these tables off. If you don't have a tune for the new TB I would suggest resetting the PCM between runs so the tables can have a fresh fuel map to run off of. I may be way off on this so if anyone else has more definitive info please speak up.

When I went from the stock 65mm TB to the BBK 67mm TB , we did not have to change the tune, and the gains were impressive. I don't expect as big a difference this time, but I am hoping for some gain. I have 2 tunes in the SCT and we will be checking both and retuning on the dyno if necessary.
 
nope..but im actually serious. made 600.4 rwhp...started a thread in the dyno section...just waiting on it to be approved
