anybody tap thier's for a drain plug?? or have one that's tapped for reference?

GM has a kit that is approx. $15.00 and that is what I used.
It makes band adjustments a WHOLE lot cleaner to do.
 
You mean like this kinda tranny?

Yes GM as in General Motors. I just happened to be at a dealer and walked up to the parts counter and asked...
It is a self-tapping bolt and washer kit.

Ok where can me and Pete get one from pretty quick?
 
I got two bungs welded in mine, one for drain plug and second one for tranny temp sensor, welded mine in the rear on pass side, they work excellent!
 
I bought my kit at Napa. I think it was around $15. I just drilled a hole when I had my tranny pan off. It took around 5 minutes to install. Installed in in the drivers side rear of the pan. It works great.
