Trans fluid

So do you think the redline product I mentioned in the above post would work fine in the trans? I just don't want to mess it up and want something thats gonna work really well. I still have yet to hear anyone comment on the royal purple syncromax

I only have personal experience with the Castrol Syntorq and ATF. I can't say from personal experience anything good or bad about redline or RP. I know others that have run both without issue.

So would you see any problems with running the 75W85 gear oil? As far as the thickness of the oil itself? I know it will quiet it down alot but would you foresee any issues as far as smoothness of shifting?

I have harsh engagement with my truck when driving it in the winter months. This only occurs for the first 5 miles or less of driving until the oil gets some temperature in it. As far as weight 75w85 is the recommended weight by Chrysler.

Tremec the manufacturer of the T-56 doesn't warranty zilch!

Besides, the quiet is by far the biggest plus.

The majority of these trucks are way out of warranty anyway, good luck even getting any warranty work done on the trans...........It was 7/70,000, all done now!!!!!!!!!! Go with the transmission maker says to use........Just my .02:chain:

Yea I agree and according to the dealership they couldn't find any specs on the ram srt 10 but the 04 viper cars call for 75W85 gear oil

Mine never made any kind of noise,I would look at what's causing it:dontknow:

Was a big royal purple guy until I lost 2 engines. I can't say it was the oils fault 100% but I'm not taking another chance. The problem I see with synchromax is it's neither ATF nor 75W 90 gear oil.

The new fluid would be designed for the T-6060 and recommended by Tremec. Likely not the same fluid needed for our trucks but I'll check into it.
