Trans Question

AT 6200 They will be fine, running over 6500 is when you run into problems

From what I've seen (with a rev limited/shift limited) automatic truck, it was higher than stock but well below 6500..
NOT an isolated case..

just sayin'... be careful...

it is well below, but the post was pointed at rpms of the engine, and they will safley spin at 6200rpms, it is suggested that the valve springs an or push rods be replaced as the rods will start flexing, but they will spin safely at 6200

is it needed?, most definitly not as most close to stock motors drop off after around the 5600 mark, but we are discussing santeens paxton truck, he does not want to go under the valve covers, he does not want to go slicks, or to a different gear ratio, he is having an engine built by us in the spring,
so for now he will be fine having fun on the weekends, and raising his limiter to around 6200 on his specific application for a half dozen times he may hit the track till he installs his new engine

of course there is, I take good care of santeen and would never have him even attempt anything that would hurt his engine, it jsut causes me more work in the end

Correction. It's my wife u take care of. You could care less about me. And if you let me hurt my engine, you know she'll be calling you. :D
