transmission/ clutch help

I have a buddy that has a 2002 camaro. He told me that it has a t56 in it as well. I was wondering if it is the same as mine. I have a 2004. The reason i was wondering is because he has a real nice clutch / flywheel combo that i can get for a steal. So would it fit? Thanks in advance!

It is a similar trans, however I doubt that combo will work for you. Most likely the bolt pattern for the flywheel is different.

I would guess that the input shaft is different too.

^^^^ these guys nailed it. Our T56 is different from Aston Martin, GM, Ford, etc. Ours is the beefiest and input shaft size is bigger.

Funny you should ask. A short time ago I made a comment on how I hate the cognac interior in the Vipers, actually walked away from a gen 2 deal because of that color interior. Dan thought it would be funny to give me a secret signature that reads:

i love the cognac interior of the gen1/gen2 viper. if i could do it to my 10, i would!

So.....I made it a point to get a picture of an SRT-10 with said interior. I found this pic posted on the Registry and just knew I had to have it!!
