The transmission refuses to shift before 4K now <at light throttle> and while it sounds really badass... everyone think's I'm trying to race them now.. <LOL>... it used to shift @ 2300 at light throttle

if I pull my foot off the gas it will sometimes shift..... I think I lost 2'nd gear but I'm not positive (manually going from first to second doesn't seem to work either<shrug>)

I checked the fluid... looks good...
Any Ideas?

it's going into DC later this week anyway.... was hoping someone has had this happen b4??

Thanks,

Well, after 63K no problem miles,I think I'm going to be doing the same thing !!!! Tranny can't decide what gear it wants to be in at part throttle conditions, and this weekend it damn sure felt like it was going from first to third !!! :dontknow: Hopefully they'll just give me a new tranny and keep me happy !!:dontknow:

I hope it's just a servo... hard for me to tell if it's going from 1'st to third... every gear pulls pretty strong:D .... I think the tranny has 10K on it... I'm sure DC will figure it out.... I fixed my evap sensor CEL by unplugging the battery... I think this issue is a little more than that tho :(

I had the same problem. I adjusted the kickdown linkage and its fine now. Transducer:dontknow:

this issue is with the tank..... I think westminister built the tranny... I just noticed the issue today... I'll put it in the garage until I can get it to DC later this week.... prolly just as well, with it revving that high it's getting ~6 mpg.... :O... normally it gets 8.5.... if I drive down my street @ 1:00am @ 4000 rpm's a few neigbors are gonna be kinda pissed off....

One of these days I'll take my sound meter to it.... I'm guessing ~ 104db's @ 4000rpm....

yo Annu... .. the heck is the kick down linkage?? and how did you adjust it??:dontknow: ... and when are you coming down to LA so I can give you a hard time about your headers :p

It's a shifter detent,it's mounted where the throttle linkage is !!! It has a small white U clip piece that you remove by prying the prong out carefully, then adjust the cable one LITTLE NUB at a time (you will see them in the black cable)!!! Tried that myself, didn't do much !!!

I bet a set of shorties would fix this problem. And give you the added benefit of running a 9 sec 1/4............................... Just a though

Annu, that is a good point. But usually it will be removed from the outside on a built tranny.

Here is a bigger picture that goes with the instructions:

ok, after driving it home.... second gear is gone.... once I get rolling from D I put it in second and hit the gas... uhhh it goes nowhere ... like it's in N.... strange that it didn't throw a CEL... also strange that it's smart enough to rev 1'st to 4000rpm before switching to 3'rd??

 there goes my bellanger funds
