The DR's didn't help with my 60' any :dontknow: 2.2 all day. I got 5 runs in today with a best of 14.50 (7500 DA). Get Bit came up ran the his truck a few times too. His best was 14.3 with the same 60's. But I could feel a big improvement in the 1-2 shifts. I am racing tomorrow to practice some more. It was a real windy day for us though (crosswind).

It was good to met you Get Bit. BTW I lost in the second round 14.59, the other car almost broke out though. He Let off at the end.

Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Are you heating the DR's and what RPM are you staging at?
Yeah I am heating them up. First gear 4500 RPM burn until I see some good smoke. Probably about 7-10 seconds. As far as launching. I tried any where from 1000 RPM to 1800 RPM, all with the same results.

With a fairly stock QC if I stage at anything over 850 RPM then I loose time on my sixty. You want to give it just enough additional RPM to take out the slack in the driveline. I have staged from idle to 2000 RPM. My best results were always from about the 850 rpm range.

Thanks I will try a little lower RPM's, and let you guys now how it turns out. Get Bit was launching around 1000 also.

Wow, I did a shake down run this summer on drag radials with my stock clutch. DIdn't really launch real hard and still cut a 1.8 sixty. Your track must not have been prepped at all.

What tire pressure were you at with them at the track? You may want to adjust it to 20psi or so...I think you can also launch at a bit higher rpm. Did you spin at 1800 rpm? If so, sounds like the track isnt prepped.

I started with 18 psi and dropped it to 16.5 on my last run. It didn't seem like it spun @ 1800 rpm. Get Bit didn't clean off his tires on one run and I heard his tires spin. Ended up with a 2.3 60. He went to clean them off and the guy told him to stop. He got talked to a couple times today:p:D

Not sure if track was prepped or not. It didn't seem like I was spinning off the line:dontknow:

I was puzzled too when I was getting bad 60' times after staging at 1200 - 1800 with no spin. I was told by a reputable member here that loading up the torque converter and hitting the gas at the tree makes your 60' times worse due to engine bogging off the line. When you hit the gas at idle or 850 RPM's your engine spins up quickly and the torque converter locks up at around 1600 RPM's. This gives you the same effect as dumping the clutch compared to your engine bogging down when you stage above 1500. In theory it makes sense and has worked for me. Just my .02

I am not sure what our factory torque converter locks up at but this is just my guess.
