Snow is falling...put the truck away this morning...she is in the end bay, polished, waxed, and covered. Hope she comes out before May!

You know shes gonna be back out, then you'll be able to run her till feb then put her away till apr if its like last year. Before I put her away I just have to see how bad they are in the snow:marchmellow: :marchmellow: 888

Roy, Did you remember to use Sta-Bil??? I use the stuff in my boat and my motorhome, my classic car even on my fuggin' cornflakes...

Putting the toy away for 5 months would be hard to do..:( ..and ditto Jack's comment on the Sta-Bil....dont want to have spoiled gas when you wake her up..

that would suck to have it put away for 5 months, but if i remember you have a volvo 850R right?? i drove one when i worked at the volvo dealer and if that was my secondary car it'd keep me entertained, however my secondary is a 92 ford exploder

Theres a down side to living in the midwest but also an upside if you plan to do work we usually wait till winter so we can race all summer, I have a durango for the snow or work truck but how does the volvo do in the snow Prof?

I did not use a fuel stabilizer...but I will add some.

The 850R Wagon is in the foreground...she is a lot of fun...but since she is lowered she ends up acting like a snow plow I have only about five inches of clearance in the front.

BTW what was the final result of all that work you did?

A wonderful, safe, comfortable 685 at the rear wheels.

Never to be raced again...well, probably not...

I have a $70k garage queen, with about 3000 on the engine.

I'd have withdrawels if I had to park my truck for months. I almost went crazy when it was in the shop for 9 weeks getting put back together after the telephone pole incident.

It snows here once in a while, usually the first week in January and only one time if it does snow, sometimes, a light dusting and sometimes 4 feet in a day. I'd have to drive my truck in it, cause the old lady's PT would be worthless, it's been lowered 2 inches and all it would do is plow it's self under.

Just over 300 fwhp, turbo charged, and slammed!

You should probably consider a Battery Tender, too......

About 35-40 bucks at any motorcycle shop.

This is a good suggestion Roy, if you don't have one already. I use tenders for my truck, bike, and mower battery. It is also a coincidence, that the same day you posted this thread, I filled my tank from the low light indicator to full will premium and added fuel stabilizer. I use a little more than the suggested ratios. I bring the Stabil in an appropriate container to the filling station, and add it to the tank in two stages. Half the amount after the first ten gallons, and the second half, after the tank is full. (even though a little more than 10 oz will treat 26 gals, I use about 18 oz.) Then I drive a while to make sure its properly mixed and has made it to the fuel delivery system. Sorry if this is more info than anybody needed. :) PS, my personal favorite is the Prius!

i just unhook my battery cable if its gonna be a few weeks. other than that a tender will work. make sure when you add stabil to let it run for a bit.

Three years in a row...December 1st marks the first use of the snow thrower.

Takes about an hour and a half to do the drive way...almost a (snow thrower) full tank of gas...

Will have to do it again this afternoon...it has started...no truck, lots of snow.

   :argh: :argh: :argh:
