Viper hauler
It had to happen. For the 2004 model year, Dodge engineers dropped a Viper V10 engine into a Ram truck, thus creating the SRT-10, the world's fastest production pickup at the time. The Viper-inspired 8.3-liter V10 engine was good for more than 500 horsepower with 550 lb-ft of torque. The SRT-10 could sprint from zero to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds. Regular-cab versions got a T56 6-speed manual transmission; quad cabs came equipped with a beefed-up 48RE 4-speed automatic. Pirelli performance rubber, Bilstein shocks, uprated springs and brakes, a throaty exhaust note, special aerodynamic styling aids, a unique grille and suede-trimmed leather seats provided plenty of creature comforts.
