Trying to get an idea....

If you want your best time I would advise taking out the back seats, empty your glove box, consloe EVERYTHING that you dont need at the track... if you loose 500 lbs that should be another half second with good weather

im really trying to run decent times without stripping the piss out of her...I'm just trying to see if there are any other bolt on style mods out there i can do that i'm not tracking besides going FI or NOS....

Dont require smog where i am so there will be no cats...I plan on getting catless mids at least if i can't afford the B&B headers...Dont know what you mean by the whole flow bend process...Are'nt our exhaust already 3"?

.

Nope, not 3"...dont quote me on this but from what I remember its 2 7/8" OD and 2 5/8" ID +- 1/16"

If you have any exhaust work done you want a well thought out mandrel bend with performance in mind.

Not only is the stock not 3" it has several unnecessary bends (at least in the RC it does) that restricts flow.

Actually on your Magnaflow the inlets (and internal crossover) are not true 3" ID.

I cut the inlets off of my Magnaflow and had true 3" to the inlet. I believe it made a subtle improvement on the sound of my truck as well.

I take it if you ever go the Header route your are going Bassani? Mine performed pretty well and picked up 15rwhp, improved exhaust note and saved at least 10lbs.

Another cheap 'bolt on' is battery relocation....

ok thanks alot, didnt know that baout the exhaust size at all, i'll try and find a good performance shop in my area that can get it done right. no I don't want bassani, Bill Boat only! That has to have the deepest closest to V-8 sound that ive hear on a 10 so far....

One other note.......noticed that you are going with the NGK's...I installed a 1 step colder NGK (for nitrous) and lost 8HP over the stock Champions.

May be just a fluke but the NGK's arent as long as the Champions...Would guess it may correlate to 10-12 cc's of volume and or some lost spark exposure.

Its nothing that you will notice..... 8rwhp on a 515rwhp truck but it did show on the dyno. Although it may cancel out a cumulative effort when trying to hit a number.

Yep a catless mid will get put on soon as i get back....I'm actually going to buy it (would getting that coated help any?) and wait till after my first time at the track until i install any mods. I want to have a starting point then install all my mods and see what she'll run:rock:
