The Viper enginer is purposely detuned by the factory. You can take it to any tuner, or have Diablo set up a two gate chip for you to increase the power substantially, add a free flow exhaust, with little change in accleration. You will have to add wide rear racing slicks, and pre-load the rear end, which will certainly kill you on the street if it rains!

I have yet to floor my truck from a standing stop, as it lays a patch when it hit it while doing 70mph on the highway, which scares me enough.

That is what somebody wrote in a different thread.....I know I am a pain in the ass with stupid questions but can some one please explain how his truck breaks loose at 70 mph? And is the tune he is talking about different than the Upgraded PCM?

Well, there is a way... What i do before a race is Rub cheeta blood all
over the engine. Swears it gets me atleast 500 more HP. :aetsch: :bootyshake:

Something sounds off on that whole statement. I'm not buying it, otherwise he would have responded with your info. Unless it just doesn't read the board much. Try PM'ing him and ask for more info. No answer=BS post.

The QC guys probably won't be able to do it, but us RC guys could.
I can certainly chirp at 70. Breaking them loose- even on dry pavement- shouldn't be a problem.

I wish someone like Diablo or SCT had a programer for these trucks.

At 50mph I break them loose on the 125shot.

Once when cruising on the I-10 between Jax and P-cola I was cruising at about 70 when I jumped on the accelerator. I swear I heard the tires chirp!!!

Man....I miss that Highway!!!:D:D:D:D

I can't break mine loose without clutching it...

And that is at 20 mph, no way I see doing it at 70, let alone trying it...

It can be done.
But I'd only do it at some sort of wide open track with lots of Brazillian butts along the edges to absorb any impact. :)

I was able to do it 1 time with just a stage 2 flash. I was going up hill, cold day, and hammering on it from 1st to 2nd, then right at 2nd to third it layed a nice patch...not sure of the speed, but figure whatever redline 2nd/beginning of 3rd is :D

I read the Dr.'s post and it sounds like he's got an 06 Viper if that makes any difference! They're around 2K lbs lighter then our trucks! But then again they have 325 series back tires. :dontknow:
