Without looking (not sure what I would be looking at) is our 10 speedometer connected to the tranny or to the rear wheel? Change rear tires to 45 from the standard 40’s and wondering what the difference in speed vs. actual.
Second, just go my “newâ€￾ 10 and in Texas we must have front license plates. Any suggestions as to how to mount without drilling holes in my purdy bumper?
Thanks for any help.

Yessir it reads off the reluctor in rear end. You'll be fine with your 45s. As far as license plate, there is a retractable, electric one that mounts to bottom side of bumper and flips out when you want or hides away under bumper as if you never had one there! Look on google or YouTube for videos in action.

I replaced the sensor on the rear once for a ABS light that was on... but my speedo still worked before I replaced it. Question... when you do a burn out does the speedo increase? If it does then you would think the sensor would be on the tranny.

And with the lines from the trans disconnected it still works....!

Just roll without a plate. If there's not an empty holder on the front cops don't seem to pay attention.
Also, did they put that back in the the law book? Last year they accidentally omitted it so it was not against the law.

I would like to thank God and all of my fans!! Oh yeah.. my sponsor Miller Lite also for all their support!!!

If you need a seal of approval, I will send you one :D:D

Caveman has one already lol

After doing a little research I find mjd91 to be correct. State of Texas rewrote the law the last day of the session last year and inadvertently left that part out. Some cops are ticketing and letting the court work it out. Sooooooo, I will run bare :D for a while. Thanks to all for the help.

We have that law here as well...

I don't think I own a vehicle that actually has the front plate on it.

The cops here just don't care about it.
