So I take her out for a cruise yesterday... and in the way home everytime i accelerated and then let of the gas she started hopping sort of like when you let out too fast on the clutch of a manual. To make matters worse dealership isn't open till tomorrow morning 7:30... Its really causing me to worry. Just need some info or stories from trucks that have done this before. Thanks

Hmmmmmm...bad U-joint? Do the QC trucks have carrier bearings on the driveshaft? I had a truck years ago that had a bad U-joint and carrier bearings and it did the same thing...:dontknow:

i just went out and shook the drive shaft by the joint and it did move about a 1/3 inch either way... is that normal.....

Down the list of items to troubleshoot and may not be the case but your flywheel/flexplate may be failing. Mine did, and at the end had symptoms similar to your description. Failure was at 41,000 miles. There are 2 other local quad cabs that have had multiple flywheel failures.

I hope you find it soon and it's something simple.

Don't know about the hopping, but I know the exact sound you are talking about with the water sloshing around. My GMC does the exact same thing, has for years. Never bothered to worry about it, it's just a beater truck. Think it has something to do with the heater core. Let me know what you find out.
