Well I am really happy with it.
The same day my truck arrived I took a 200 miles drive down to Norfolk. The powertrain performed flawlessly. To my amazement at 70 MPH the truck is close to pre-SC in noise level. The fuel economy varied obviously by speed. 60=17MPG, 70=14.5MPG, 80=13MPG. I have been in stop and go traffic almost the whole time I've been down here. The truck get's up to 210F(88F ambient temp) but not above it. One thing to mention is that I have the Bassani headers and no heat shields. I am pretty sure that if I used some heat shields the truck would run cooler.
The suspension and overall feel is far superior than my old lowering kit. By far the most complements the truck get is how stable and smooth the ride is. This is coming from guys, gals, heck even a 7 year old. The caltracs are simply amazing as they keep me straignt when the truck is loosing traction thru 1st, 2nd and part of 3rd.
Now to the power. I had to admit that I was leaning more to a screw type when I wanted to FI it. I can tell you that inclination was unfounded. The power produced by this SC at 7.5 #(with the proper intercooler) is more than enough for a stock bottom end. Please remember that my tune is a street tune and according to Wideband it's pretty conservative. I am pretty sure I can blow my engine if I had a race tune and drove the truck like it had a built bottom end. But I would be make scary power until then..
One last thing. His propietary intercooler is outstanding. If I drive the truck at a constant speed and pull over to touch the inboard intercooler or the outlet going to the throttle body, it's cool, I mean 60-70 degrees (on the inboard) and 80-90(on the outlet).
I used my RC car Thermo gun to verify the temps so I don't no how accurate it is.
Well that's my update..
