I think i remember Boomer had some taller valve covers?

I have a set of aftermarker valve covers from Roe. Not sure if they're taller than stock or not:dontknow: I can get a measurement tomorrow if you want...

Yeah, I guess there was some fall out here with him (heh-heh) do not think he will have anything to do with us. Some of the guys here have his number, Maybe they can hook you up?

Boomer was a poor vendor to many here. JMB has a proven track record here. Contact Justin, I bet he can fabricate up a set for you.

This is what Jeff sells for the Strikers. A little more costly but a very nice piece.
They use the o.e.m. valve cover bolts that screw into a hollow (threaded) bolt at the top (flush) of the valve cover extensions.
Also Channeled and o-ringed on the bottom...so no gaskets and no leakie...

I just removed the tab from the dipstick tube and brazed it a bit higher so it could go back onto the same valve cover bolt. Also, watch the (passenger side) wiring harness as it now rubs on the valve cover. Easy fix there- just a couple of cable ties and it's good to go.

That is a nice set-up.

One more look from the inside...
And you can see what I mean about the threaded fasteners...
