Vec 2 with 2 cards, programable software, card reader writer and instalation instructions for only $600. I'll even cover the shipping. (Just like new)

Jimmy I see number of speeding tickets is 3, same here. Mine are;

1. 81 in a 65

2. 53 in a 35

3. 98 in a 65.

I have to change that, I just got nailed with a "reckless" 126 in a 75. The bastard even arrested me. There wasn't another car on the road. Get to go to court on the 8th, can't wait!:banghead: :banghead:

Ouch!!

Good luck on the court date. That's going to be a tough one.

Damn!!!! After my last reckless (83 in a 55 on a open 6 lane highway) ticket I slowed way down. I pretty much just cruise 5-8 over with the cruise control on. I still get on it every now and then but only when the risks of getting a ticket are slim.

Well,
You DO have a valid reason now if you do get pulled....... (see bullet hole)

Sorry sir the natives here are a decent shot at 70mph...

Had to bump her up to 90 to keep from taking fire.:D

102 in a 55mph in my younger days, was not pretty..

This thing is great for tuning guys, vipers have made over 1200rwhp using the vec II to tune with its the easiest cheapest best mod you can do :D

Love mine! Couldnt live without it ;)

What EXACTLY does it do ? As far as tuning ? Seems a lot of people have them, even with the Stage 2,but I need more info about it.

Use the stage 2 to do everything by timing. Use the VEC2 to adjust the timing for your vehicle and alt. The VEC2 can even trigger meth. The stage 2 is a great out of the box mod. The VEC2 allows you to tune for your truck. Check these 2 links out. VEC2 and Stage 2

not anything against your post smoke but I personally dont like the flash, most stage 2 flashes cause detonation and spark knockin, if you have a rc the flash isnt worth it if you have the vec, but with the QC's you can change a bunch of variables and use the vec for timing and fuel changes in small increments, but know thats my opinion most love the flash , but on Joannes we hd to drop the flash, it just didnt change the truck as well as the vec did, so know dont jump on me because that was our situation:D

I wouldn't get upset because you have a different opinion. You making this post is exactly what people need to hear, the good and the bad. So they can make their own informed decision on what to buy for their truck.

How does the Vec 2 compare to performance against the DC stage 2? Is the programming something that a tuner has to get involved or something I can tackle?

Once the Stage 2 is programmed you are pretty much stuck with it unless you send the whole PCM back to the vendor. You could probably tune the VEC2 on your own. You could just hook it up to your laptop and map your A/F. Then get the vendor (Boomer/Roe) to help you out via Email.

Now for initial performance for the QC I think you will be better with the flash, but people have had problems (knocking, etc). The VEC2 can be fined tuned for your exact mods, altitude and even season (hot weather, cold weather). I think long term the VEC2 is a good deal. Out of the box performance then the stage 2 is a good choice. Does this answer your questions?

Let me add that I don't have the VEC2 so my advice is based off of things I have learned from others on here.

Well the vec is much more adjustable, but must be done on a dyno, that way your truck is tuned for your area, altitude and so on. this is also the reason a flash is good for some, some dont have the time or tuner in their area for this, and the flash gives great bang for the buck.
