Vec 3 For Sale

WHAT DOES THE VEC GIVE ME FOR THAT MUCH CASH OLA ,,i have seen the jet piggy back it sucks i hope there is more punch in the vec

not remotely comparable. The VEC is probably the most versatile tuning module this side of a fullblown AEM computer swap.

not to sound dumb but what do i get hp -throlle respose what exatly will this do ,,i cant seem to find any dyno post on this ,,,i would like to see a graph or somthing showing hp curve and torque curve,fuel mileage change ,trans shift point change ,,i see lots of post saying how virsital it is but no real specs
 
good read ,,,now were would i get the program cards it specks about ,,are there preprogamed for towing ,93 octane, and such or do i have to pay somone to do custom setups ,,i just run up and down streets ,,want some more punch but dont want a massive progaming to do ,,,sorry for all the questions
 
It comes with two cards, what you do is you get a dyno done and send a list of all your mods to Roe Racing and they can send you a base tune. Then you can go in and fine tune it to get peak HP and Torque.

after looking at the info i wonder if anyone dyno ed these ,,,it just seems that almost 1000 bucks and more on some sites for this setup its kind of high,,,i mean that for that much cash and you only get 25 hp ,for a RC,or am i wrong ,,:toilet:

You're wrong. The good part of a VEC is it is adjustable and can have many different tunes at the swap of a card. If you look at just peak #'s, you're missing a lot about something like the VEC. It can control every parameter of your engine, not to mention it is upgradeable.

I have one on my Viper and it picked up 4x rwhp, 4x rwtq peak, the area under the curve is night and day compared to the stock PCM.

well as i was reading it for the quad cab you gain good tune i think it was around 35 plus ,,,but on their web site it clearly states that RC srt is max 25 rwhp ,,now no dought i hope that it would help but hp gain seems low ,,,thats why for same price or close to it im leaning towards a pcm swap tune ,i have seen dyno runs that clearly shows a 70 plus hp gain and just a smigent better mileage and i do mean a smig ,,but still deciding :elefant:

Listen to Wesman, you gain alot under the curve. Trust me, I have a bunch of stuff on order for my Viper, I already told Dominick I would buy it in about 3 weeks. It will e gone then if he still has it!

PCM swap, then you get to pay $100 everytime you change something....no thanks.
