It was about 4:30 yesterday afternoon when I realized the nitrous bottle was empty, so I called the nearest speed shop to find out what time they close. I usually go somewhere else but since it was late I figured I give them a try. They said they closed at 6:00 and I asked if they would have enough time to fill up the bottle, they replied sure. I get there around 5:20 the guy picks up the bottle and takes it to the shop, meanwhile I am waiting in there waiting room. The waiting room was HOT as hell, but I figured 10-15 minutes. About 30 minutes pass and still no bottle, I ask the clerk and he tells me he is going to check on it. About 6:10 the guy finally brings my bottle back and tells me they ran out of nitrous. I was enraged all they could do was apologize, I asked to speak to the owner they told me he wasn't in. Needless to say they lost 1 customer and I will call them today and ask to speak with the owner.

SORRY needed to vent !!!!!

Customer service is quickly becoming a thing of the past.

Make sure the owner knows how you feel. That is the only way this tide will ever turn.

This is so true Silverback. That guy should of told you the instant they knew they were out or told you they didn't have it when you asked for it.

I agreed with him. The guy should told you right away when they found out that they ran out of nitrous. Thats way you can be happy and come back again.

you guys are harsh. im sure it was an honest mistake. so close to closing time, they probably had a lot of stuff to do. I guess I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. It seriously keeps you young. stop getting pissed off. life isn't perfect. be happy. all that fun stuff ;-)

have a super day!

If this was the first time it happened then I would let it go with a comment to to owner of the shop. If the owner offered a discount on the refill for the mishap then that would be a classy move and keep the customer happy. Mistakes happen and life is too short to jump on the very first problem you have. If this was the second time then thats a different story.

Cheers
Brad

You got that.

I have gotten to the point of walking out of Doctor and Dentist offices if they are running to late. My time is as valuable to me as their time is to them.

I also tell them to not bother billing me also. No service, no pay. And if you do not keep your appointed time, that is not my problem.

And yes, I'm a F'ing Ass Hole.

I'm right there with ya, Silverback. I'm at that point as well although being in the military I have to exercise a little patience when it comes to health/dental care and the wait that is common for those things.

There is a saying that states "Timliness is next to Godliness" and I am a true believer in that. Being late or wasting someone's time is very disrespectful IMO and implies that their time is more important than your is.

Those guys in that shop needlessly wasted your time, Brad, and someone should either answer for it or you should be compensated in some way.

I tell them on the first visit to annotate my file that I will not wait. It is the only way to get the attention of the office...if you leave you will deny that revenue and that is the only language they understand. Many medical offices purposefully over book to maximize income. They don't make me wait because they understand that I understand.

Can't stand waiting. If I have an appointment with a Doc. Then he better keep it or I walk (unless I'm deathly ill). I treat my customers the same way. If we have an appointment set for me to work on their door. I'm usually always early and will only give them 15 minutes past our appointment time. I show no disrespect, I take none either. I'm sort of like John Madden. If I say we are leaving at a certain time, you better be there or all you'll find is and empty parking space.
