Video of truck Misfiring

Venomous1, I replaced the crank sensor (referenced it wrong in my last post as Cam sensor, whoops!). So far so good, no missing or backfiring. Thank you for the advice.

I decided to just replace it based on the nature of the code it threw and after reading posts on that particular code it seemed a high probability of the truck dying resulting in a no start condition.

It actually died for a second the last time I drove it but started running again on its own, so it was getting progressively worse. Not just between hot and cold like it was at first.

So for now, all is well. Took it out and it ran great. I left the code in the PCM for now so the dealer can see it. Should clear itself if that was the problem eventually anyway. We'll have to see what happens.

It's nice to see that things are going better for you and that it appears you were successful with fixing your truck. You might want to go to the dealer and let them know what you found and how you fixed it could help the next guy who comes in with a Viper having a problem. You might also want to take the receipt and the old part with you and ask them to have the warranty guys refund the price of the part. You never know, they might.

When the guys were suggesting that you fix it yourself they knew you had a warranty and that the dealer Should have been able to help you. But they don’t always have the information or skill set available to them that we have. Does that make it acceptable, No it does not. But I think the largest collection of Viper Knowledge available to us is in these forums and Everybody here will try to help you get back up and having Fun as fast as possible.

It was definitely it. PCM already cleared itself.

I actually called the dealership yesterday and tried to get them to give me the part and charge it under the warranty, explaining I brought it in and you couldn't find it and there was good chance now it would not make it back on its own. Yeah, not so much. I understand why though. I am just Joe Scmhoh customer not a mechanic, they would have to do some shady paperwork to cover it. It was worth a shot though. I'll talk to them but for $25 and 1/2 hr of my time not too bad.

You have done what you can, hopefully there is another dealership near enough to you that you can try them out in the future.
