No wonder I couldn't find it...

It's only September. I've still got October and November. Most likely December too, but no racing by then.

Your temps are almost down under 100 huh?:aetsch:

7.22 at the ring boys....

smokes the ZR1 by 4 seconds and the GT-R by 7 seconds...

proof that the Viper needs to be put back into race duty

There's something to be said for R compound tires, that's for sure. I like Vipers and Corvettes equally and given a choice, I'd pick an ACR due to it's exclusivity. But for day to day comfort, drive to the track and thrash around, then drive home, you'd be hard pressed to find a better dual purpose car than the ZR1.

on our forums there's a little doubt... seems the viper race is a bit " dark" movie... could have used a race suspension and race tires.... ? :dontknow:

He rubbed the front of the car a couple times on the corners.

I think the determining factor of the ACR just getting by the Vette was the gearing. Less shifts through those corners. On a track that long and curvy those lack of a shift adds up. If we were hitting the rev limiter the Vette was hitting it longer or even having to shift.

I still cant get over how impressive the skills of that driver are. Sure he does it for a living but damn he's good.

on a side note, this has been discussed on many forums. On all, somebody always critiques the driver....:dontknow: . Amazing how many pro drivers there are on forums;)

anyhow, ACR > all.

The driver is Tom Coronel from the netherlands:rock:

He did a few 24 hour races at the ring with the genII viper from zakspeed.

Alex

At the speeds he was carrying, the (2) missed shifts and hitting the limiter would ONLY add up to MAYBE a couple tenths! Awesome car and driver!:congrats:
