Viper Key?

One more thread on keys for me. I am wondering if anyone has purchased a key from a similar year Viper car and tried to have the SKIM programmed for the trucks and if it works or not?

The local dealer, of course has never tried it, but doesn't see why not.

I have an 04 viper key, but there is no chip in it. I just took the chip outta my factory key and glued it to the steering column, haven't had any trouble in 4+ years

I was just going to say is the viper key grey or black? Grey have chip and black doesn't.
