I was changing out my (4) rotors and pads with Gary's X-Metal rotors last week. I noticed that the passenger side rear caliper was cracked on each piston (one worse than the other). I took a picture with my phone right after the caliper was taken apart. I took it into the dealership yesterday and they said that they could not take care of it under warranty because I had just changed out my rotors and pads and they assumed that I cracked it...
Now,,,, it's my word against theirs. I did NOT crack the pistons and was very careful during the install process. There was no leaking (yet) but I was proactive by noticing the problem. The ONLY way to notice this problem would be to take apart the caliper, which I did, and now they're saying since that was done, they won't warranty it. Any ideas???
