i believe you can do mopar intake and mopar exhuast and be straight i think anything else voids it but i bought mine used so i dont have warranty so who knows

In you case with the Paxton, I think they would laugh at you for any type of engine failure or problems.

any part normally that is modified is voided of warranty

internal engine mods, void
exhaust mods, exhaust void
wiring mods , wiring void
so on

there are a few dealers out there that will work with some tho, some have paxtons and roes, an such and still get warranty work done, it really depends on your relationship with your dealer

And per Fed Law, the dealer has to prove the mod was the root cause to the failure & warranty claim.

Guilty until proven innocent. You can claim fed law all day but you will still have a voided warrenty until you spend way more time and effort to prove it didn't cause the failure.

I would like to read the case where this fed law actually worked for someone (seriously, I have never heard of this actually helping someone :dontknow:).

True, IMO that's the risk you take modifying under warranty. Although, it would be pretty hard IMO for a dealer to blame an engine failure solely on a K&N intake. Now if you upgrade/swap engine internals, I wouldn't expect the dealer to warranty an engine failure, you're on your own here.

I had a bad experience on this stuff...I bought my SRT about 3 months ago with 38000 miles under full chrysler extended warranty and coulnd get the service yet.First because of paperwork bs and now because of bg pcm.It wasnt on the car it was on the glove compartment (i forgot it there)and the dude at the dealer saw it and kindly refuse me the service on the engine. He said that if the viper tech find out that i had a OFF ROAD PCM he will void my warranty...
Its all crap i know but be very carefull because our trucks have an extremely expensive maintenance so they will do everything to refuse the service...
Next week i have another apointment i hope the bs is over but until them i cant do anything to the truck incluiding the radiator mod that i've dying to do...

My dealer was very mod friendly...never a problem and I am FI......and I say "was" because he was on Chrysler's hit list and is no longer a dealer....bastards..and my warranty is good till Nov...

I believe there was a clause about hauling sheep and other livestock. VOID!!

One of the marketing tactics used by MOPAR is that if you use MOPAR parts, your warranty is retained and not impacted.

MOPAR Long Tube headers, MOPAR CAI will not void your warranty.

Which means my warranty is gone in the breeze. Bye-bye third party 78k mile warranty! Frankly I didn't think the majority of warranties around here (with the distinct exception of Wifey's garaged queen) were valid since years ago..

I would agree with that and if a Dealer were to try...I would turn on my heel and go to the next Dodge dealer, and be pretty sure to get a different decision!

So how does that work?? They send the tech to you? :D

No I pay to barge it to Oahu and maybe the dealer there says its covered and fixes my problems. Shit I dont know. DC just closed our dealer so who knows. I imagine they will grant someone here the ability to perform warranty work. Hopefully I will never need any warranty work.
